12 Days of Christmas DIY Challenges Day 7
Using What You Can Find in the Garden to Make Something Christmassy
Welcome to Day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas DIY Challenges!
Today’s challenge is to see what you can find outside and use it to make some sort of Christmas decoration.
If you have a garden, you could look there. Otherwise, you could see what you could find at the park, or in the woods, or just out and about. Those of us who live in the country probably have an advantage, but you can still do this if you live in a city! You might just have to think a little bit more creatively π .
In the video, you can see that I have some greenery, some berries and some pinecones. The greenery was from my neighbour’s hedge which grows over into our garden, the berries are hawthorn which grows wild in the hedgerows round here, and the pine cones came from the woods.
The oasis florists’ foam came from the little hardware store in my village, as did the candle. It’s a crazy little shop, I’ve never been somewhere where you could buy rat poison and a birthday card in the same shop. If you don’t have a weird shop near you, you can buy oasis from AmazonΒ (affiliate link).
The little dish was part of a collection we have as the result of a fondness for unhealthy puddings that come in their own little dish.
So what do you have? Make something and link it up!
